The Joseph Kessler Memorial Basketball also known as the JKMBA was founded in the Spring of 1999 by Eric & Kirk Kessler in memory of their father. Joseph Kessler Sr. volunteered his time for youth sports as the Athletic Director for the Marlton Rec Council as well as the coach for Travel Basketball, Baseball, Football and numerous In-Town teams. Over the past several years the JKMBA has grown from a boys league into the all around basketball program for both boys and girls from grades K-12. In the Spring and Fall we offer leagues for children of all abilities in the grades 1-12. The winter we host a Holiday Tournament for the Travel teams in the South Jersey area as well as a skills clinic for boys and girls in the K-6th grades. Summer '08 was our first Summer clinic/program. In addition to our regular programs is our AAU Club teams known as the JKMBA Jaguars. These Boys and Girls travel club teams compete in Tournaments throughout the East Coast. The Jaguars have competed in National Tournaments in Virginia Beach VA, Memphis TN & Orlando FL as well as local events in New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland area.
